It's beginning to look like they hate Xmas Music.

AT work today (where we've had B101 playing since November) my friends are saying they are getting very tired of hearing the xmas music.
One girlfriend said she went shopping in NYC over the weekend and heard
Chestnuts roasting and walked out of a store.

She now hates that song.
Our boss never changed the station this year because the owner has been in and out for about a month now working on our phone system and computers. I guess she had other things to think about and no one asked to change the station.
Last year we listened to WSTW at this time.

But my friends all agree they never want to hear xmas music again..not even on christmas..
Work can get irritating enough. But the xmas music is just awful..I would rather hear no music anymore.

I don' t know how the jocks at B101 can stand it..
I hear Dan at night and it sounds like he is yelling..like a top 40 dj sometimes.
Kind of funny today..:)

My wife and I joked yesterday that the first DJ in on the morning of December 26th will be dancing for joy in the studio not to be playing "Chestnuts" yet again (well, for three months, or however long it takes them to start in on the Christmas 2006 season).

More proof that Christmas music before Thanksgiving is evil and leads to mental problems. Even after turkey day it's a mind altering substance best taken in small doses, the mall, occasional song on the radio, etc. I flat out refuse to go to any mall from October 1st to December 1st lest I be overcome by the dementia.

Of course expanding the playlist wouldn't hurt either but expecting some good music from broadcast radio seems to be too much to ask for.<P ID="signature">______________

She walked out of the store just because she heard "The Christmas Song"? You've got to be kidding me! Why can people handle hearing Phill Collins, Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago, Matchbox 20, etc. about 340 days of the year, but its irrating to hear a classic Christmas song over a one month period. Yes, it may seem like the 1000th time, but you can hear a Phill Collins songs for the 1 millionth time and not complain. Lighten up people!

I never knew it was so awful and extrusiating(sp) to hear Christmas music!

You just can't change the station? Even if the boss is busy, they can't turn the knob or press the seek button? It only takes 3 seconds.

I'm thinking of a comedy bit to do on all xmas music stations..
Wasn't there one in the country somewhere that played xmas music all
year round?
