It's Christmas time!

I KNEW IT! KRWM started on the Friday before Turkey day last year, they are doing it again. Last song played with AC was Michael Buble "Home" and the first Santa song was Jackson 5's "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".
Now to KXXO for soft rock, says my radio...

KJR didn't do a full-blown format last year. Will they try again (or maybe even KMCQ if the promotional stuff has been removed?)

The 2010 flip was a stunt to their "Oldies 95.7" format, a pre-emptive strike against KVI, which had flipped to oldies....

I do notice a difference this year. They seem to be playing an awful lot of that Air Supply Christmas album. KRWM played three different tracks off it today. And again right now.

Well during the AC format I hear "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" played to death...

Down in the Portland market it was the same thing, Clear Channel's KKCW "K103" flipped about 9 am Friday.

Last year Entercom flipped their 'variety hits' station (KYCH), but so far still normal format there.

Wonder if any station will put all Christmas music on one of their HD2 HD3 signals. It happens in other cities. Don't know if it gets them a little bit of numbers in the ratings or not.

As they said, Spirit 105.3 has been swarmed by Santa's elves as of 8am this morning.

KAFE is also sprinkling X-Mas with regular programming (heard John Lennon's Happy X-Mas-War is Over).
Who else flipped? Did QM/FM flip yet?

CHQM flipped yesterday to all Christmas. KAFE starts usually 12 days before Christmas....

KING-HD2 is now X-Mas.

KIXI 880 has been sprinkling in a few Adult Standards holiday songs as well.

KWPZ 106.5 is now all (Christian) Christmas music. I'm sure KCMS is too by now.

KKXA has been mixing Christmas music in their format as well.....
