Could it be transmitter maintainence?

Unlike WXSS, they use automation (WXSS uses live assist I THINK) so something on that end probably crashed.

Since WXSS always has someone in the studio you usually don't hear long periods of dead air. The DJ just throws on CDs as backup while the computer problems get taken care of.

I can't confirm this since I don't work there, but this is most likely the case.<P ID="signature">______________

That could be the reason, but they got a backup transmitter so if that was they cause they would probably switch over to that one.

Yeah...caught that...things seem to be lagging a little bit, coming out ot the stopset at around 9:30, there was a couple seconds of silence, then it sounded like it went into the middle of a song...and now a Kiss FM sweeper?!

I thought they were finally live at 7:00 on the mix (Mike Nelson), guess he VTs...<P ID="signature">______________

and then each went into their own stopsets and WMYX crossfaded out of a commercial into Howie Day - She Says<P ID="signature">______________
