It's December 15-Where's WKAJ?

Joe Isabel from the applicant stated that the towers were delayed because the tower company that was originally selected for whatever reason did not complete the job and they had to hire another company causing the delay. Could Cranesville in theory start out from scratch and compete in an auction to get the frequency again?

The FCC letter says Cranesville submitted proof (well, photos, anyway) that the towers were indeed built at the gravel-pit site just west of St. Johnsville. One of the issues is that the towers weren't built before the December 15th CP expiration, which is why you saw nothing in November. They apparently went up in late December or early January.

Thanx Scott, I will be passing thru the area in the next week or so and may stop by there again. Also need to make a correction to my earlier post, the website showing Tx sites is radio-locator.com.
Senior moment, ahem.

W2JUV, I would very much like to see pictures if there's anything there!

Knickman, yes, they could apply again...but they'd have to wait until the next AM filing window, and nobody even knows when that would be. And there's another twist: you're supposed to start building only after you receive a CP, so it's possible that a strict reading of the rules would require them to dismantle at least some of what's been already built and then wait for a CP to reassemble it. Not a pretty situation.

Tower(s) sighting in the gravel bed. All four are set in place, including guy wires. A small wood frame hut (for phasors?) at base of each tower and a larger wood frame building in the center, probably for the xmitter. Small gauge wires criss-crossed all over the ground, maybe the ground radials. Snapped a few pix, but didn't spend a lot of time there as my wife was waiting in the car (and not patiently). One more thing, towers are visible from I-90 at about milemarker 204. Look right if traveling west, and look left if travelling east.
