it's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY

back whem Marc Chase was afternoons/PD at Y107, he ran the "five o'clock whistle: bit on Fridays:
who did the vocie for the "it's friday...FRIDAY...FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY!" ...
and how can I get a copy? there was a longer version of the same that mentioned something along
"tell the boss to kiss my..." that's especially what I'm trying to find.
I'd ask Chase, but he's now a big TV star on WGN. kidding.

thanks

Chris, I recall that rant as from a movie. Other excerpts included "typewriters pricking our fingers until they bled", etc. Hollywood Hendirx may know what you seek as he often filled in afternoons at Y-107

Chris Romer, I think it was this dude named Murray Saul from WMMS FM Cleveland. I beleive it was him. Search Murray Saul WMMS Cleveland on Youtube. I think there might be a version of it there somewhere.

I think I have a couple of old cassettes of the "5 o Clock Whistle" in a box in my hall closet. I'll dig around tomorrow for them. They also had the "Eat My Shorts" call in's on there every Friday.

Interesting, Yorkie, I do too

along with about 500 other cassettes. Now if I could only remember which box...

Wet Willie's "Weekend"
"Take This Job and Shove It" (or was it?)
"Workin' for the Weekend"
