It's Graham not Savage--get it right, Babbin :)

Former deputy undersecretary of defense Jed Babbin was filling in for Michael Graham tonight on WTKK
(probably did the show from elsewhere on ISDN line). When he first got on, he did mention that but mere
minutes later he said "This is Jed Babbin, in for Michael Savage..." Since he probably has done fill-ins
for Savage before (he's also filled in for Laura Ingraham when she was undergoing breast cancer
treatments as well), you could see him making the mistake.

A minute later he said the same thing but the WTKK board op cut the "Savage" out. Then he finally got it
right. Darn talk hosts with identical first names!

Why don't they get somebody locally to do it instead of some boring bureaucrat...

That's an inexcusable mistake for a host, even a fill-in .....

It reminds me of the time Mike Barnicle was a guest with Imus and he screwed up the call letters of his own station, WTKK.

Cheaper to get someone to do it from outside. Babbin isn't bad actually--voice pleasant to the ear. There are
other fill ins who have voices that might not be so pleasant but can be funny, like Col. David Hunt (Howie C.)
Ever hear Tammy Bruce fill in for Laura I.? Syndie host for Talk Radio Network...her bio says "Tammy Bruce is an openly gay, pro-choice, gun owning, pro-death penalty, voted-for-President Bush progressive feminist." Yeah!

jane leaves lurk mode to say Babbin had it right. You can switch all their names, the rhetoric is the same. boss doesn't like us in the chat rooms otherwise i'd continue. as she looks over shoulder at 2 other workers doing the same thing

Babbin not as extreme as Savage. Though Savage admittedly can get out of his "angry" mode and sound a bit
more laid back, etc. Switch all their names...so Howie Carr is same as Howie Stern?
