Umm, I can list tons:
Franz Ferdinand, Garbage, The Killers (once per day between Led Zeppelin and GnR is not enough), Gorillaz, Radiohead, Weezer (again see parenthesis above), Death Cab For Cutie, The White Stripes, Hot Hot Heat, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Coheed and Cambria, The Bravery, The Shins, Ben Folds...want me to keep going? I don't even like all of these bands, but they are definetly not being played enough or at all on Philly radio. These bands are also on the top of the modern rock charts.
Imagine if rock radio in the past did not embrace new music. Thank god for Sirius. Keep digging your grave programmers and consultants. Young people (btw I'm 25) stopped listening to the radio when it started it sucking. Too much repetition, and not enough chance.
Oh and by the way, the ratings for The Beat are no better than Y100s. (And, no I didn't used to work there). People I talk to young and old all miss Y100.
