It's here, it's here.........

P2 Spring Arb #s are in!

1) If you're an ad client of Froggy, you really must be stupid to read into the 4-station (or is it 2?) combo attempt to boost ratings. Sure, they're all Froggy, owned by the same company, but the sticks are located from Brownsville to Duquesne, to Burggetstown, to Hookstown. No one from Fayette County's going to buy on East Liverpool/Hookstown/Pittsburgh, and vice versa. I think it's just there to pacify Keymarket biggies. By the way, does Arb rate them as 4 altogether, or 2 broken into 2 seperate groups? On one website, they're broken into 'OGG/'OGI, then 'OGF/'OGH. Another website has the 4 of them together, then 'OGF/'OGH down the list. And a 3rd site has 'OGI and 'OGG seperated! Oy vay! I think Keymarket has really confused things more than what they were. I never DID catch on as to what the advantages of the combo stuff are, anyway.

2) Double/double had a nice gain.....104.7's slipping.....'JAS has numbers all over the place since last year, what gives there?.....boy, did the X take a hit!.....and KQV had a decent gain, is this where people are switching to now that KD isn't really a news station anymore?

3) Finally, Steel City Media. Playing Ops Manager, do you.....
A) Pay lip service to 'RRK, but then work on tooling 'LTJ to better compete with Star? Both are Hot ACs (or at least some sources say they are), so why not tool 'LTJ as 1?
B) Finally blow up 'RRK! It's just plain old "Rock Without Movement", it's just stagnant. If I hear "Hair Of The Dog" 1 more time, that damn dog's going to a animal shelter!
.....or C) blow up 'RRK and retool BOTH!

3WS, 'JAS and KQV are all up...the X is down? Sounds like diaries wound up in a lot of older hands.

I gotta agree there.

Cleveland had a book last year that had every female AC, including oldies WMJI, soft rock WDOK, and Salem contemp Christian AC 99.5 The Fish (WFHM) go UP by more than a point or point and 1/2--and news/talk WTAM and the rock stations go down by a similar number.

It all averaged out in the end, but it really made me scratch my head.
