its looking good inside wpot

You know what else is looking good? Those models

But yea they must have spent alot on a studio place like that.

HOT 87.7 HERE WE COME....

This signal will be "serious", I'm curious just how "serious", maybe similar to the old WILD signal? That would be great, because I can get fringes of 97.,7 where I am.

One of those models has about 97.5 pounds of makeup on.  Anyway, Hot 87.7?  Well, if Boston can't have an Urban Adult Contemporary station, then at least it could have an Urban station for the true hip-hop and R&B audience.  Jam'n 94.5 sounds like a surburban oriented teeny bopper station.  Not only is the music weak but the audio also sounds weak.  However, the Urban station should not just target the black audience as Hot 97.7 did.  If this new station can also target the white audience of true hip-hop and R&B fans, it could possibly give some serious competition to Jam'n if it's programmed well.

I am not going to get in the middle of whos serving the urban audience or not in Boston, but this statement I must respectfully 100% disagree with. I've always thought WJMN had one of the best "sounding" FM signals in the market. It was heads and shoulders above what I heard on 97.5 over there in Dorchester for sound quality.

I have to agree that WJMN's processing is far from weak, and in my opinion, one of the best processed stations in the market. When compared to out of market hip hop stations like WWKX and WZMX, and also WILD back in the day, WJMN's processing was always best- no matter how bland and pop their playlist is becoming as of late.

97.5 (soon to become 87.7), I kindof like their processing. It used to be hard to tell what their procesing was like at all back when they were getting stomped all over by WOKQ and WKAF but after the big power increase, today in the North Shore I was getting them crystal clear and the processing seemed nice to me. It could use some tweaking, but it sounds good, especially for a hip hop pirate. There's this song called "God In Me" with a crazy bass and it was coming out good.

Obviously they will get little to no interference on 87.7 when compared to the two stations they are battling on 97.5, so with 87.7 they will get a dramatic increase in coverage, and they will be more compareable to the other Boston pirates. Today in Quincy they had what sounded like WKAF's IBOC hash all under them and they were fading in and out iwth chubby chub screaming-- it was simply a bad experience.

Seeing the balls they have by broadcasting on 97.5 in the first place, running around town like they are legal, and giving out their address on google maps, the 87.7 signal will most likely be compareable to 101.3, possibly even bigger. I hope it covers great grounds so that I can hear them all the time. It would be refreshing to hear my favorite R&B jamz on the dial, at this point I could care less about the legal status.

After all, Chubby Chub says it will be "serious" ;)

I know he's bringing hip hop back to boston and he's one of the founders of this station, but damn he needs to shutup and let the jamz play lol.

It should be like 87.9 on the North Shore. They don't do bad for 100 watts.

I just picture 87.9 The Wave trying to do the same type of photo shoot only its a bunch of busted looking 50-somethings who have no business wearing a swimsuit sprawled out on some folding chairs in the guy's basement.

Too bad the camera guy thought the photographer was more interesting than the models.

He was wrong.

It's fully automated.

I found the music mix on 87.9 The Wave entertaining, they should create a web prescense and an online stream for more exposure and more listeners.

This is, when they get another transmitter ;D
