It's my first CCM radio fan letter

Just wanted to offer a quick mention of The Passion - the HD2 to Mix 107.7 Dayton. IMHO, an extremely well focused, nicely textured and balanced CCM radio station. And inclusive of some of the older CCM you don't hear elsewhere. (Margaret Becker's "Keep My Mind" still sounds great! MWS's "Go West Young Man" too. But where is Richmond's late Rich Mullins?) Bottom line. Passion is just plain fun to listen to. Bright and upbeat with a great pop energy. Congrats to Jeff on getting this labor of love on the air. It has to feel great to hear that "vision" come to life.

Seemed like an ok mix of AC. I listened for about an hour to their webstream, they should really put some effort into imaging though. But being HD2 and nothing but a Prophet in a closet, I can see why things are basic for now.

Wonder if Klove will put a 'CHR or Rock' station on HD2? whenever they fire up IBOC on 96.9 down the road?

It will be interesting to see how many more CCM stations the "big guns" launch in markets, I am suprised Dayton got a CCM on HD2 instead of other formats, its the only market CC is currently doing Christian AC in on a IBOC subchannel (at least in the current planned lists they have posted).

Will have to check it out...I heard CC's oldies station (WLQT HD-2) and wasn't impressed..zero imaging but then again it's all pretty experimental. If K-Love goes HD on 96.9, will anyone even be able to hear the HD outside of Troy? Any plans for WFCJ, WEEC or WCDR to add HD service in Dayton? They're the old-line stations.
