They dropped the 'point' in 99 point 7!

Yes, and I'd suspect that it took several meetings with several geniuses around a big conference table to arrive at this meaningful decision. "Get the web team in this weekend and get rid of that point, damn it. Losing the apostrophe wasn't enough. We have to clean up this superfluous punctuational clutter! Then we'll have listeners flocking to the new streamlined sound of Movin 997." Sheesh!

This is why M. Martin gets the gig and gets gobs of money - his programming strategy - drumroll please - "We're getting rid of the 'point'"

I can see a 2 point rating jump already - wow!

You're all missing the point! Ha, ha. Get it? The more crucial issue is - continue with the small "i" in MOViN, go to all caps; as in MOVIN, possibly the more puntuationally correct 'Movin" or the somewhat stylish and hip look with all small letters, as in "movin."

I don't know about you, but I won't be able to sleep well until these issues are resolved.

Good God, man, what next!? Is a broadcaster's work never done?

Wait? How does one pronounce this odd word "Movin"? What does it mean? And why are there now 997 of them?

That IS pretty interesting! But it's nowhere as GRIPPING as Bonneville deciding to add "point 3" to all the imaging and DJ Breaks to what was simply "FM 100" on KSFI 100.3 in Salt Lake City. They haven't re-produced the jingles, they just added a sung "point threeeee" underneath the end of "Efff Emmmm one hundree-eee-eed". Wasn't this move like 10 years too late? What, now that most FM radios are digitally tuned?? Whew! What a relief!

Again, I could just imagine the committees that were held and consultants that were hired at the highest rates to conclude that this will improve ratings under the upcoming PPM!

Go RADIO!
