...and Eagle 106.7 will flip to Southern Fried Rock on December 26th. This could be fun!

"Southern fried rock"? you mean like Molly hatchet, Lynard Skynard, Allman bros, and various other cross burning, [EDIT]yeah sounds like "fun"

::)

[EDIT-inflammatory]

I'm looking at the real bullatlanta.com website right now... it's a CC website. Don't know why it isn't working for you.

no joke says plain as day. atlantas new home of the braves..

ps note the devil horns when you are moving around on the site??

Well, too bad for Randy and Spiff, good guys. I think Lite may have picked up some listeners when 96rock flipped, but now where will they go? If they put Moby on in the morning (as indicated on another thread on this board), I'm gone.
Good luck Randy and Spiff, you guys deserve better.

If nothing else, KICKS needs someone to compete with. South 107 and WNGC just don't cut it. I am excited about the new station. I hope they lean more toward alternative and harder rocking country, though they probably won't. If this were to push EAGLE to a southern rock format, that would be a very good thing. The "klan" thing is not funny.
All that being said, Moby would ruin all of it. Please, not him!

Maybe Skynard but not the Allmans. The Allman Brothers were hippies. the total opposite.

Even though the website for the future WUBL is up and definately running, AC music is still playing on 94.9 FM there. The LAST 10 portion of the front page shows that normal AC XMAS offerings (94.9 is still in All XMAS mode) are still playing on 94.9. so AC isn't off 94.9 just yet. After the XMAS 24/7 mode ends, then it will turn into 94.9 the bull. Does anyone know if 94.9 still calls itself 94.9 Lite FM and WLTM on air? And after 94.9 the Bull signs on, Cox AC rival WSB-FM (B98.5) will, more than likely, begin airing spots saying they are the only soft rock station and the #1 listen at work/at work Radio station in Atlanta. However the last book shows that AC isn't really a good format in ATL with both B98.5 and 94.9 Lite FM neck and neck in the 2's (2.6 for B98.5 and 2.4 for Lite-FM). And, WKHX (101.5 Kicks Country) needs a good competitor, and fellow ABC/Disney station WYAY (Eagle 106.5), with a 1.9 in the last book for 12+ is not one, and others mentioned are not at all. Hopefully, Eagle 106.5 flipping to a southern country/rock mix format, also known as Southern Fired Rock, could bring WYAY to new highs as 1.9 is very terrible ratings wise compared to 4.5 for Kicks Country. [EDIT] Expect a big uproar by former Lite-FM listeners who have NOT found out about the flip yet.

My guess is, the web guy at CC got sloppy and forgot to hide the site. I've talked to several people at CC who never saw anything official about the change Friday afternoon... If I were Randy & Spiff or Delilah, I wouldn't be too happy about finding out this way.
It doesn't seem likely they'd stop the Xmas music before the 25th. Now that the bull is out of the barn, maybe someone at CC will attempt some damage control before Monday.

It didn't take the Website to alert Randy & Spiff. Everybody at the station has known it's going to change although management hasn't told the staff anything.

That's the point. I saw Spiff Friday, and he still hadn't been told anything definite, even though he and Randy have had their office cleaned out for a couple of weeks. Nobody with the Braves network had been told anything either. It would have been common courtesy to let the staff know what's going on before taking the website live... that's why I tend to think it was a slip-up. Maybe Delilah's people already knew they weren't being renewed, but if they didn't, it would still be a lousy way to find out for everyone concerned.
