It's official, Ann Curry is out on NBC's today

The other point is more in the line of a question. Why did Ann Curry get the heave-ho on a Thursday? You mean to tell me that NBC wanted her off the air so bad they could let her finish out the week?
Not only that, but she didn't even finish out that day. Savannah Guthrie was already sitting in her seat at the beginning of the next hour. They moved on FAST!!

Remember the great send offs Katie Curic and Meredith Viera got? Ann was there 14 years as the newsreader and one year as Matt's co anchor. Ann filled in for Katie and Meredith several times. Didn't anybody think there was no chemistry during those fill ins? I read all the research showed Ann Curry would be a great choice to replace Meredith. So what happened in that brief year?

Many websites pointed out that when Matt signed his new contract, he said he didn't want Ann as his co anchor and he preferred Savannah..and look what happened! After the debacle with Conan and Jay, you would think NBC would not want to have this kind of situation again.

With all of Ann's contributions to The Today Show, especially when she was doing the news, you would think they would have devoted those two hours last Thursday to Ann Curry, regardless of Matt's feelings.

The whole thing was very poorly handled. NBC really screwed this up big time.
