I just hope they find some intelligent talent. I can't stand listening to an alternative station where the jocks use lowest common denominator humor. It's simple, talk about the music. The morning show should resemble something like The Daily Show/Jon Stewart style information and humor. And for God's sake, no sports unless it Cincy related.

I am of my stump.

I agree with that from the talent standpoint. Here's some feedback I've heard that I find bothersome. I've heard several of my son's friends talk about the station and they like it better than EBN. The comments ranged from "How many times can you hear Guns 'n Roses or Led Zeppelin" to "I listen to my Dad or Grandpa at home, why do I want to listen to him on the radio"? These are real comments and it disturbed me, cause it was putting an age on me too.

Do you think WEBN will have to leave some of the older rock cuts to the Fox and move on? Or will BoDean screw the pooch as they say in the space program?

Bring the DUDE back...

Would the Dude fit the attitude of The Sound? How about Wendy Walker? Some familiar names and voices would draw more buzz for them.

Wendy Walker just got hired back at CC. Creative Services Director

I'm impressed with your sources. I met Wendy for the first time Friday night and we laughed at how quickly the news spread, since she just got re-hired Thursday.

Tommy landed in a hell of a place if Bonneville keeps it!!

For AM, FM or TV?
[/quote]

Wendy is Creative Content Director for CC AM & FM and will be back part-time on-air at WEBN.

They should hire no WEBN people for The Sound if they want to 1) set themselves apart, and 2) come across with a more intelligent approach. The redneck, derelict appeal of WEBN is not what I thought the new 94-9 was supposed to be about.

Hey, that's not fair. I need a job too. ;) I was one of the layoffs at WEBN. I preformed various duties. My on air shifts were the two music shows that I got to choose the playlist. The local music show, Native Noise and the metal show, Damnation Alley. I would think that most people in this business should be able to fit there voice work with the station. At least, I would think I'm not so one dimensional. Also, I have never thought Wendy as a redneck derelict. She is amazingly sweet.
However, I called the sound yesterday to follow up on my resume' and asked for Bodean and the woman who answered the phone said no one worked there by that name.

i thought so too. i suppose she might be in a different location or just don't know about the new hire. i'm assuming he's started by now. who knows?!

Did you ask for "Bo Dean" or "Tommy BoDean"...receptionists are easily confused, especially with new employees and large employee rosters.

Speaking of Tommy, I heard a promo today that says he'll be on the air Monday afternoon at 4 to answer any question listeners have about the Sound.
