Is it even correct to say that Beck is leaving Fox News? Beck's show is more inline with Joseph Geobbels and no one would ever say Joe was in the news biz. Seems the Fox News brand has been co-opted. Not that I personally care because I don't watch Fox but it would seem to demean the brand.
Here is my question: How many of these top-name talents leave their positions to move to the so-called "new media" and are never heard from again, or rarely?
Dan Rather, Keith Olbermann, and now Glenn Beck. Sure Beck still has his radio show, but I'm not sure moving to "new media" is the best move. Atleast not yet, here in 2011. I guess it will all play out.
