I'm not a big fan of O&A, sorry to see them go from the station at the good old "K-Rock" for the first time since the incident happened on WNEW back in 2002 over the controversial "Sex for Sam" prank at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
They were on that show at one time where he gave his remarks to Allan Sniffen over the dreaded F-bomb heard on WCBS-TV/DT (channel 2) where a reporter was fired after that incident happened was Arthur Chien. And they also appeared with James Rolfe of the "Angry Video Game Nerd" did an interview about his show and videos that he created.
I hope that one of the CBS Stooges are waiting at the door for a Top 40 station to compete with Z-100, maybe 92.3 will end up next. Don't worry, 97.1 in LA had AMP Radio, what's next? "92.3 Now"?
I wonder if they dropped the brand "K-Rock", because it was not successful after they brought back in 2007 for two years after that "Free-FM" disaster, if WXRK is changing the call letters, are they going to park right back to Cleveland, Ohio under "K-Rock" as WXRK in Cleveland, Ohio. It can't be! They dropped "K-Rock" also in Cleveland and changed its moniker to "Radio 92.3". That's why the "K-Rock" moniker has dropped completely in New York and in Cleveland.
I hope many of the former rock listeners should ended up at WRXP and mostly Q-104 for getting bigger numbers after the lost of "K-Rock". WRXP is not going anywhere, because the station is going to be another WDST in Woodstock.
I hope CBS is going to make a flip right after "K-Rock" dies. "K-Rock" wasn't doing really well in the ratings and in the PPM after "Free-FM" did when it came back two years ago, and now two years later, didn't work really work. I wish CBS would make its last laugh at "K-Rock" and in the mortal words of Porky Pig "Th-Th-That's All Folks!"
"K-Rock" is finished once again!!!!
