It's Official - O&A to Mornings on The Edge

Straight from the horse's mouth..

So, O&A in the morning, S&R from 3-7, Val 9-12N, Bull 12N-3, and Adam 12 remains 7PM-Mid.

So, what happens if S&R listeners reject O&A, and they tank? How long will Citadel pay all those salaries? Does this make The Edge better?

The expression "Buffalo Cluster" seems like it's one syllable short at the moment.

Wash your hands..... so as not to spread the virus. Too late

According to the talking heads at CBS (artist formerly known as Infinity Broadcasting), there has been a pretty good uptick since the end of DLR on mornings.

I like the lineup; on the surface, it has what WBUF did not have when Stern was on; a well grounded entertainment based local talk show. Even the music is similar, with some AC/DC, Guns/Roses peppered in with new Audioslave, Mudvayne, STP, etc.

I have listened online and it's a good show; a lot of teasing to the XM show where potty mouths reign supreme.

So, O&A will spend 3 hours a day replacing successful local content with satellite radio promotion.

Smooth move, Farid. Who'd you learn programming from, Joel Hollander?

Gosh i hope so with S&R coming back to mornings...

but you wonder as the big wigs look at the $ all the time and simply see not enough income compared to costs, and well, dare I say someone local other than S&R that is cheaper might ultimately be back on mornings.

I wonder what S&R make anyhow... apparently the sales staff can't milk enough out of the WNY businesses that are already dry economically...

I like it so far, alot!!! The EDGE needed to make some noise without swinging the ax on their talanted air staff.. If anything this will give the familiar jocks more exposure which is good.. If this works, I think you could see them moving Val and Bull back together again in the noontime for a more talk oriented show.. They both did very well together in their drive time together so I think it work very well.. The only downer is the music, but as long as Adam 12 is doing the night shift, and they keep it fresh with newer rock I will be appeased.. Kudos Evil Jim for making some very bold moves with the station, I think he was the cure for what ailed them... And he can also play off the fact Opie used to do the morning show way back in the day on 103.3, of course then again not many would probably remember... Thats my loony thoughts on the EDGE.. Its great to be back...See Ya ;D
