KDBN/Dallas PD Scott Strong Heads
For 'The Bone' Yard

Susquehanna Classic Rock KDBN (93.3 The Bone)/Dallas PD Scott Strong tells R&R he's exiting the station by April 15. Strong has decided to leave the radio industry for a new career in event marketing. "It's something I've been interested in for some time," Strong says. "The bonus is that I'll get to stay in Dallas."

Station management is actively seeking a replacement for Strong.

> The story continues; Scott will be doing a metroplex tour of all Kroger supermarkets, asking customers to sample various sausages and cheese snacks, and to sign up for the Kroger plus card. His next tour stop after this swing will be at the few remaining Seven-11's introducing new slurpee flavors including "Botched Berry"."These marketing events will allow me to meet and greet radio listeners who never ever listened to The Bone,so I am sure the events will be packed". " I have met my calling after all these years"

Perhaps he can successfully hawk boning knives.

Our "pal" Scotty Boy Strong..

"Station management is actively seeking a replacement for
Strong."

Now THAT isn't saying much now, is it? I'm thinking a trained APE would be more effective than Scotty. Acutally, the ape would do better. Since the ape would be quite random in it's decisions, it would have a far greater success rate than Scotty has had so far.

So Scotty Boy ,don't let the door hit'cha where the good Lord split'ya. Now if he'd just take that Jeff K. guy with him, Dallas radio would be so much better off.

Thanks for all the "hard work" on the Bone Scotty. You wrote the book on how to flush a great concept down the crapper not only once, but twice. You are TRUELY the epitamy of a Bonehead sir... A TRUE BONEHEAD.

Let me guess. 99.99% of us users want The Bone to flip by then. It's the 0.001% that we have to worry about.<P ID="signature">______________

Anybody predicting a format change? I'm predicting that they'll change back to alternative and bring back Jagger, Mondo, & Dean to do mornings! Any thoughts??

If Live doesn't get them first. Jasmine was escorted out of Clear Channel last week, so it looks like she'll be joining them as well.
Do you think an alternative format on The Bone would work with the Cowboys?

This is probably a very juvenile comment, but it was humorous to here a billionaire like Jerry Jones have to say "The Bone" over and over during the press conference.

Well said, young man. I can't wait - "Drew Bledsoe’s performance in the forth quarter - was it Bone-a-fide or Bone-less? Tune into the The Big Bone Morning Show's Bone Brother Donovan for more bone-tastic football boney-bones."

Alternative, Classic, Modern, Active… Does it matter?
The brain-trust on Maple has proven they don’t know execute a rock station in Dallas. I suspect they will make a decision that looks good on paper (to bone-heads who doesn’t understand rock radio and Dallas’ idiosyncrasies as a rock town). The result will be a mediocre programmer who will continue the 93.3 tradition of failure – flip or no flip. Leaving the door open for a competing entry to the rock radio format that, correctly executed, will serve The Bone it’s deathblow and cripple KZPS and KDGE.

But hey, who would actually want a succesful radio station? 93.3 is such a great packaging tool to sell The Ticket and The Wolf.

Yeah, event planning...like big barbecues
for local DFW residents....and showing them
the proper way to suck all the meat off the
bone....
