It's official

Hmmm...well, we all know the potential here (KGO-FM). So what's the consensus? Does this mean better times for KGO? Worse?

Anyone?

Re: Cumulus and Citadel To Merge -- It's official

Don't forget -- KSFO and KNBR are involved in this, too, as well as KFOG and The Bone. Who'll be in charge, Lee Hammer (Says No) or Deidre (No Relation To Rich) Lieberman? Will they retain separate domiciles, or set up housekeeping together?

This will definitely be fun to watch over the coming months...

KGO FM ? or KNBR FM?
I am curious, which one would have the most potential & impact on the FM dial? An FM News/Talk Station or a FM Sports Station? Which format would make the biggest impact on the FM dial? And which frequency would it go? 104.5 (with San Jose's 97.7) or 107.7?

My bet would be KGO-FM. They need to be on any band KCBS is on. Their cume has slipped below KQED's. Gotta get on the same set of preset buttons in the car. As long as KNBR's the only sports game in town, they can take their time.

I feel that 104.5 might go because of the fact that Big Rick left for 102.1 and that Dave Morey was the core of 104.5 and although I'm a fan of 104.5 I feel it will flip to KGO or KNBR or KSFO. I like AAA but its falling apart.

WOW!!
Did anyone "Predict" this from the thread that was posted late last year, "2011 Radio Predictions?"

A possible demise of KFOG?

I second that, I can see 104.5 KGO on the horizon, and maybe The Bone shifting to full Active Rock, or becoming a Classic Rocker again like Citadel's 104.1 The Hawk and 95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles
