It's Over, Everyone Listens To Techno

fredcantu said:
It would be helpful if you related this somehow to San Antonio and/or Austin radio.

Actually, I meant to post it on the Dance board.

But if you think about it does relate to SA/Austin radio. Both markets have successful Top 40 stations..KHFI, KXXM and KTFM.

Btw, props to KTFM for playing the new track from Rihanna first in SA!!!! KXXM will jump on this one soon but The Beat, probably in another month or two.

It seems to me that dance has been getting increased airplay in San Antonio with Chris Brown/Benny Benassi - "Beautiful People,"David Guetta/Usher - "Without You," Alexandra Stan - "Mr. Saxobeat," Swedish House Mafia - "Save the World," Martin Solveig - "Hello," LMFAO - "Sexy & I Know It," Dev - "Dancing in the Dark," etc., hitting the airwaves on regular rotation.

I have a good feeling that we may be hearing Flo Rida's "Good Feeling" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2ooeJfckok) outside of mixshows soon too.

You guys call that stuff techno? Please. That's like calling Nickelback heavy metal.

Hey [EDIT] we know it's not techno. The article is referring to the lyrics by Eminem where he's says "No One Listens To Techno". The track came out when Hip Hop ruled the airwaves.

[EDIT-namecalling]

I listen to techno everyday on MegaHD2 in my car.

Mega is the reason I spent $300 ($150 for radio, $150 for installation) on an HD Radio.
