It wouldn't completely be out of the question (at least technically) for something like that to happen. They have DVD movie rental machines at McDonalds now...I haven't tried it though. I'd imagine it wouldn't be hard to do something similar with MP3s.

I was in Kroger this morning but couldn't really catch what was playing. It was turned down really low...

Or they were getting tropo interference with the CVS Pharmacy down the street, so they had the volume low to avoid annoying the shoppers...
(sorry, I had to get that last one in there before this thread fell off the cliff to page 2)...
