I listened on my way to work this morning, and take into consideration that was a modest 20 minute drive, and I heard Denzil more than Zakk. They had two traffic reports, Zack read a piece about the superbowl (yawn), and my time listening ended with some woman reading news. Boring, but it's the first day.
I still wish him good luck, but I missed listening to TRG this morning.

I wish Zackster well... Although Why would anyone listen to Dave? I sure dont have any reason...Rock on Regular Guys.
The "some woman" sounded pretty good.
I tuned in for a few minutes and actually thought Zack was a stunt guy doing a funny voice. But no! That's the host and that's his voice! Sounded kinda like a young Gabby Hayes to me (that's a terrible comparison, but I can't think of anything else close).

He's been in town for two months and been off the air for over a year, yet he started out really slow this morning. One hopes he was just easing into the pool rather than doing a cannonball. Who knows.FakeFlam said:

This show is nothing short of atrocious and its got nothing to do with it only being his first week. His voice is thin and grating (someone on this board said he sounded more like the wacky side-kick and that's true), he's extraordinarily bland, and the comedy bits are small-market and hokey. This was a horrible call on the part of management and people at CBS have to be wondering who, in Atlanta, is responsible. My advice to Zakk: Stop reminding people what show they're listening to. You're not doing the station any favors.
