It'snow official for Houston's Cable Viewers

As of January 1st, TWC will be officially become ComCast. This means better news for people who have been waiting so hesitantly for their NFL-TV Fix. ComCast is the preferred cabler to Atlanta, Detroit, Philly, Chicago, and the Balt/DC Area. After the done deal, Other Texas cities will still get TWC, and Furthermore, Those cities will be getting The NFL-TV free preview week-which Includes the inaugural Texas Bowl-which will be played here in Houston, and The Insight Bowl-which will be played at the former home of the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix. This does not include NFL-TV's season finale between the Giants & the Redskins.

TWC has owed me a $180 refund for months now...guess I can forget about ever seeing that $ again :D

I was wondering if anybody watched the Texas Bowl and Saw Rutgers beat the crap out of K-State 37-10. I saw some fans wearing purple & silver as I wait out for the bus. I Believe Tech is playing in the Insight Bowl tonight on NFL-TV, who are they playing? Eventually, I think the smoke will clear out by the start of next season. Stay tuned, There's more to come...

As of 1pm January 1 they are still using the TWC branding on the converter box menu functions, and the usual TWC barker channels are still running. The actual rebranding on their output may still be some time away. I'm guessing it will be several months before we start to see any lineup changes.

Ive swapped out TWC for my cable sometime ago and went with Dish Network. My bill is lower, I get more HD choices and actually get an answer if something goes down.

Well, apparently these changes won't happen right away, TWC Houston customers will be notified when their first bill will be coming from Comcast in March. Viewers and internet customers will be seeing gradual changes throughout this year, and The switch will be completed by the end of the year. Among these changes includes moving several channels, and offering newer services for first-time customers.
