Rody's great KZEW tribute site is history. John, if you read this, I'll be happy to host it on my site...don't let it go away for good!!

Looks like one of those Internet squatter companies has registered the domain and wants to sell it to the highest bidder.

I collect domain names as a hobby and return them to their proper owners. I've added itsthezoo.com to my monitor list (thanks to domaintools.com), and maybe I'll snag it next June when the current squatters loses interest. They probably just snagged it from a list of expiring domains, with no clue about its contents.

Meanwhile, though, itsthezoo.NET and itsthezoo_ORG are still available. Perhaps someone might grab one of those?

It may not be fully expired. There is a 60 or 90 day period after the expiry date that the original owner can get it back. It may cost $150 but it is possible.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Redemption Period is already over -- the expiration was 06/09, well over 90 days ago. If it was still in the Redemption Period, it probably wouldn't now show the "this domain may be for sale!" message. The current owner grabbed it for $5 or so, more than likely, and is sitting on it.

The good news, though, is that the page being displayed looks to be a generic, automatically-generated default page. If the owner doesn't get enough click-thrus, he may lose interest next June (so don't visit more than once!). If I'm lucky, I can then snag it for the benefit of all humanity. Or at least that subset of humanity that can't see an elephant without mentally superimposing an old radio set on its head.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Robby, you are going to LOVE this one...Dude, this site is so old there should be ads on it for the newest 64 bit gaming consoles. We can get a nice game of pong going...seriously, the latest update on this is from 03...you want to gripe about the telcom act, go ahead, but how about something a tad more current.

One thing is consistent, talktalk doesn't know what he is "talktalking" about.

Much less who he's talking to.
