Sometime ago I remember reading a website about a religious station in the Altoona area. In the part about the history of the station, it listed the "late Sherwood Hawley" as a former owner. My mind went back to the early seventies when I met some of the people at WBFD in Bedford and I've always wondered...
I met two of the guys on the air who made quite a decent impression on me because they got along so well and were quite humorous in their interplay. One was Sherwood Hawley but the guy I met was young, trim and fit. Is this the guy they made reference to or was it a Sherwood Hawley, Sr.? If it was the guy I met, he seemed to be very physically fit. Anybody know what happened? The other guy was someone with a last name of Ingram. Anybody know about him? Is he still in the market? While there I met another guy who I thought I remembered as the owner of the station. He was a much older guy, maybe in his 60's at least. I think his last name was Ritchey. Is this the same guy I remember as an announcer on WFBG Channel 10 many years ago?
NO BAMA
