iVocalChord Digital Announces "HD Speaker" - Now Available
(Washington, D.C.) - iVocalChord Digital Corporation has announced the fruit of more than ten years of research. The company is ready to unleash the power of digital communication to public speakers everywhere. iVocalChord CEO Howard F. Herring proclaimed, "Now, public speakers of all kinds no longer have to be left behind. Politicians, ministers, comedians, debaters and others can now enter the 21st century of digital of communications.
HD Speaker technology works by digitizing the speaker's voice as it leaves his or her vocal chords, yet remains compatible with listeners not using the technology. The digitized voice is transmitted at near-CD quality while only minimally interfering with the natural sounds emanating from one's mouth. To maintain compatibility, the natural sounds from the vocal chords are limited to a maximum of 5kHz in audible frequency. That's OK because our laboratory tests reveal that this is not objectionable to most people who have to suffer through most speeches.
People sitting inside the same room or auditorium can hear the speaker in near-CD quality after purchasing a pair of HD Speaker/Receiver headphones. Listeners in the back of the room may require the purchase of an HD Speaker/Receiver Tin-Foil-Hat-Antenna in order to take full advantage of a speech digitally.
It should be noted that although this is a system that is fully compatible with speakers and listeners who are not using this technology, adjacent speaking voices (someone on a panel of speakers or a heckler) may no longer be heard without some buzzing or hissing while they are talking. However, users of HD Speaker technology may find this to be an advantage, especially during a debate.
The true killer application of HD Speaker is the ablity to deliver several pre-recorded speeches simultaneously in the same venue. If a listener is bored, he or she can simply tune into the HDS-2* or HDS-3* channel for a different speech. Politicians will find this useful. Merely tell liberals to tune in HDS-1. Moderates can tune in HDS-2. Conservatives can be told to listen on their HD Speaker/Receiver headphones to HDS-3. Everyone can hear exactly what they want. Everybody's happy and the HD Speaker savvy politician gets re-elected with ease.
HD Speaker technology research is being extended into possible use at cocktail parties. Users could participate in several conversations simultaneously. However, we have not yet been able to make our technology work in a full two-way fashion without having everyone wear a tin foil hat antenna.
HD Speaker is available immediately through certified National Association of Public Speakers (NAPS) equipment dealers. Installation and equipment costs average $100,000. The HD Speaker/Receiver is available online at Crutchfield and other retailers at prices ranging from $199 to $599. HD Speaker/Receiver Tin-Foil-Hat-Antenna is an extra $30.
*Fees earned through the use of the HDS-2 and HDS-3 features are subject to an additional annual royalty payment.
