J.C. Corcoran suspended with audio and PETITION

If you truly believed in free speech you wouldn't be looking for this guys' head on a platter. The "FCC Violation" you so passionately speak of is where? The rules are so vague that if you ask 50 people you'll get 50 opinions. You assume everyone is offended by those comments, and that isn't correct. Ok, you don't like it...fine. Where is there a Constitutional right to not be offended? Everyone believes in the 1st Amendment until they get ticked off by something and then its "Free Speech is OK as long I agree with it". True free speech means freedom even for speech you abhor.
Leave Corcoran alone and concentrate on your own career or risk someone doing this kind of hatchet job to you someday.

This clown has the most understanding employers ever, to only suspend him and not fire him immediately. I heard his little "rant" on TV, and there's a big difference between funny and stupid. The worse thing is, it wasn't something that just slipped out and wasn't really meant to be taken the way so many did take it (a la the Golf Channel anchor and her Tiger comment), this was a calculated rant. STUPID.

First, there was no FCC violation. Get over it. (Technically FCC rules aren't laws, they're administrative regs). No one's defending what Corcoran said either. And how, exactly, does defending free speech make me a racist? That's just a typical PC knee-jerk reaction. As to the rest of your name-calling, that just shows you're unable to have a civil discussion without acting like a 4 year old. No one called anyone an as-hole, Kramer.

Radio-oops...if that's your petition, you're clueless. i won't even bother tearing into how wrong and ignorant many of the remarks in that petition are, as I would probably be edited on here! :D

Well, considering that "radio-oops" is this site's identity for Keith "Kramer" Crowden....

thats why radio is so pathetic. jocks are crabs pulling each other down. guess that clown with the petition figures he got bum rushed so he wants to return the favor.

difference in jc and clown boy, whether you like jc or not, apparently he has sufficient core of listeners to justify his existence.

so get over it.

Did you hear that there is a possible reason why J.C. would come back in MORE than two weeks?

Someone called me saying that J.C. apparently has conveniently scheduled surgery during this hiatus. His strategy is that he will return to the airwaves with "an apology" which states that he's sorry, but that when the "incident" happened, he was dealing with his pain issues and was taking pain medications which induced his rant and caused him to go too far.

The short version: J.C. will use his pain and the medication he has been put on as his crutch/excuse for going off half-cocked (sorry for the mixed metaphor - he was going to use an AK-47, right? No need to **** that sucker) and shoot at the nearby Ameren HQ, correct? The medication, pain, and surgery will be his excuses.

We now return to the new K-Hits 96 Kramer in the Morning Show, featuring John Ulett and John Cooper...?

First off I think it is a flagrant abuse of this board to post a fake petition just for Kramer to get attention. Secondly, while I hate it when JC goes into his ill informed political rants he can be entertaining and has the ratings to back it up. Thirdly, If he loses his TV gig but retains the radio gig maybe it will take a little wind out of his sails and make him think twice next time he decides to pull a stunt like this. I think the punishment handed out seems appropriate. Finally, you have got to be kidding about Kramer holding down any talk position on the radio in this town. What radio station in this town would want someone that pulled his dismal numbers even with the Cardinal draw to help him? What radio station in this town would want a guy who claimed on the radio to have stolen a womens purse and have the Maryland Heights Police show up at the station only to be told it was a gag? I can only assume the last poster was being sarcastic in suggesting Kramer for JC's spot.

You SHOULD assume that the last poster was the self promoting Kramer himself.

Um, first - I am in Kansas. Second, I was being QUITE sarcastic about Kramer. Third, the story about JC's pills was the true reason (excuse) for the post. Additionally - my opinion is that Kramer should sell athletic shoes for a living because he's just THAT GOOD a broadcaster.

Anyone questioning my sarcasm now?

FMAM,
I was in no way insinuating that you were Kramer or that you were serious when you included him in the lineup. I just wanted to re-enforce the ludicrousy of him getting a position like that.
BTW, your vocabulary and spelling make it quite obvious that you aren't Kramer. Now if you had burped and cleared your throat a few times in your post then I might have been suspicious.

I did not know DICKLESS is one of the 7 dirty words or is this a new one.
When I lived in NJ Howard Stern & O&A used it all the time.
