J.D. Hayworth...

...gets a full-time gig. He's going to hold down 9-Noon daily on KSFO in San Francisco. Presumably, he will do the show from his radio ranch in north Scottsdale via ISDN.

J.D. once punched Todd Walsh....and that makes him okay in my book.

you spelled his name wrong. It's John David HayworthLESS

Living in the Mississippi of the Desert, I wouldn't be surprised to see Joke Arpaio end up with a talk show.

Over a year ago we were running an ad for a local feed store. It began, "How much is Hay worth? Maybe quite a bit if you happen to be a hungry elephant. Not so much if you're a donkey".

I heard him doing fill in the other day on WLS 890 in Chicago (that's the bigtime)

He can't succeed, not in SFO. His show on KFYI was bad, he rarely took calls, and usually he got outwitted by the callers, forcing him to talk over them and disconnect them.

Another reason talk radio is dying.

I'd say more, but.....

Is he moving to SF or doing his show from Sheriff JOE Land?

His show was very professional, I thought the "Weenie of the Week" segment was state of the art radio. This is where one individual would be designated the "Weenie of the Week." Very innovative and a sure fire ratings booster, yes, Hayworth a true Edward R Murrow.

A"Weenie of the Week" feature would probably be welcomed in SF.

Too bad Foghorn Leghorn wasn't on the air during the Anthony Weiner flap, then the "Weenie of the Week" would be a real weiner! But the Nurse and I can't join the dog pile on J.D. over this as Chuck & Chick on KT'R do the "Freak of the Day" every afternoon. A moving tribute to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at ASU ;)

And no, Foggie doesn't have to move to SF to do his show. He's doing a Crummey remote from the Hayworth hacienda in Scottsdale. Evil!

If people here don't get the horse jokes....He stated he was against gay marriage because it would lead to men wanting to marry their horse.

Hence the equine foolery.

I found his show like Mike Gallagher's, not too bright, and talking over callers that disprove them. Not compelling radio.
