J.R. Martinez Gets Weekend Show on KFI

Martinez filled in for Bill Carroll for a few days in December. Martinez was scheduled to begin on December 14 but that was the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre and KFI, understandably, pre-empted regular programming to cover the news.
 
...makes even less sense than Tom Reddin being handed a news anchorman gig at KTLA, Darryl Gates being shoehorned into the afternoon drive slot at KFI and Kato Kaelin being handed a talk show on KLSX. Somebody check the water coolers at Chump Channel, they're being spiked with some really strange crap (CIA stash, perhaps?)...

...oh, BTW, I caught Kaelin on KILM a couple of weeks ago or so. Apparently, he and Andy Dick are the "stars" of FilmOn's schedule on that station. Geez...
 
I wish JR the best but please come on. The gushing press release from Robin is so full of crap.

If she really believed he was the great talent that she claims then he would not be relegated to the Sunday evening spot when I think no more than two people are listening.

If he really was that great a talent then Robin would have permanently put him on in Carroll's spot which is a Huge weakspot on the current schedule.
