J4 Broadcasting Loses Control Of
Cincinnati AM
A Federal District Court in Ohio on Wednesday appointed Media Services Group Director Bob Maccini the receiver for Urban Oldies WCIN-AM/Cincinnati, a move requested by J4's primary lender.
J4, led by John Thomas, has owned WCIN since 1994. However, a likely default on a loan to J4 led the lender to request a court-appointed receiver, Media Services Group associate Ted Clark told R&R. Maccini will oversee the operations of WCIN on an interim basis, and the Providence-based broker will lead the efforts to sell the class B AM.
