Now all they have to do is get rid of that male voice-over announcer. They have a female voice announcer, which sounds alright, but I just hate that Jack voice announcer!! Get rid of him now!!

but that voice IS "Jack"...the attitude is necessary
I find jingles annoying.

I believe that all Jacks use jingles, (I believe the same jingle as far as I know).
You should be able to here a sample of it at tmcentury.com. Look for the Vancouver Jack jingle package (96.9?). It's called the "You" campaign, once used by KHJ in LA. You might also be able to hear it in action if you listen to 100.3 Jack FM online, from Dallas.

So, if you don't like Jingles, hate to tell you, that's part of the Jack formula.

I can't help but laugh whenever I hear the JAAAACK EFFF EMMM
jingle on the radio. I guess that the male announcer isn't
as ridiculuous as the singing jingle for a station with
the personality of a codfish.

I haven't heard the San Diego "Jack" much. I have yet to hear a jingle on the LA JACK....New York's JACK uses several jingles sung to the tunes of songs like Dead or Alive "Spin Me"(?), Rolling Stones "Start Me Up" "New York, New York", and Lion King's "Circle of Life". They are also encourging people to make use of the 1-800 comment line and become "JACK Js".

I was in the NYC area last month. Those jack jingles sung to popular tunes are hilarious. I love the one sung to Paul McCartny's "Jet." "Jack! Well we play what we want and we don't have DJS." That one cracked me up good.

Jack FM here in Jackon uses jingles to old TV shows like "Taxi" and "I Dream of Jeannie".<P ID="signature">______________
