Jack FM is all jacked up by the UTSA area

Pirate radio on 101.5 made a return to the airwaves recently. I noticed this morning when I woke up to the station spilling onto Jack FM. I do like the Radio Free Austin programs, but can't it at least spill onto bad stations like Mix 96.1 (hahaha)? I was also hearing something on 95.5 last night, and it wasn't Magic 95.5 in Austin. Format flip or another pirate? Guess I must write to the FCC now about these problems.

Call Jack and tell them about it, too. They've got more contacts at the FCC than you do and a lot more to lose if their signal is getting covered by a pirate.

Might be worth a call to Cox and Clear Channel as well. This pirate is parked on their second adjacent.

I went ahead and gave Jack a call. Hopefully something will be taken care of.

I've noticed that since this pirate returned to the air that the signal is stronger and alot more stable, possibly why it is now splattering over Jack.

This could be a death knell for them as they interfere with more stations and as Jack becomes more popular. This can only mean more compliaints. The operators need to examine their way of doing things. A part 15 AM station could get better range and do it legally. While I respect RFA and their right to convey their message I just can't respect their chosen method of doing it.
