VegasJack, Jack Garrett, you know I don't care much for the adult hits format. What should be on fire is this new rhythmic AC format that originally was on WNEW Mix 102.7 in New York City. I hope this format beats Jack and the other adult hits stations (except the Louie, Simon, Steve, Mike, and Nine FMs - I like those) in the ratings! I just can't stop listening to those stations, especially with Whoopee In The Morning! Oh and to quote WXLC 102-3 XLC last week they said "Who wants a station that plays what they want, we're a station that plays what you want...Lake County's Best Variety 102-3 XLC." This Jack Garrett should listen to these Movin' and other Rhythmic AC as well as hot AC stations and see for himself why this format would be beat adult hits any day!
Oh and by the way the user names are getting I may have to create something in the rhythmic AC format or something. Just an idea.

JACK here in Las Vegas really is showing some staying power, #1 in both middays and afternoons 25-54 after over a year in the format. But it looks like one of their main victims is sister station Hot AC KMXB (Mix 94.1). MIX is down to 8th place 25-54 in middays, so it would appear that JACK has stolen a lot of at work listening from MIX. Other stations JACK has hurt are classic rock and 80s stations KXPT, KKLZ, and KSTJ. These stations took a big hit when JACK came on and never recovered.
Icyblue brings up the new rhythmic AC stations, all of the new MOVIN" and PARTY stations popping up. It will be interesing to see if these stations hurt JACK or not. Musically these stations seem like rhythmic versions of Variety Hits. Actually, Whoppi Vs Jack will not interest me much since they are so different from each other. Those three markets are where Jack caught fire and is doing strong. Of those three, Fresno's showing signs of cooling off a bit, but just because it is doesn't mean the Jack house in going to come crumbling down. I'm not saying that Jack will be around forever... but Jack is no longer a fad. Otherwise, Jack would have hit the road a while ago.
I guess through all of the rambling, what I really meant to say is, just because you find A crack in Jack's armor doesn't mean you can nitpick on that ONE crack when there are other comparable examples of Jack doing fine, and not so fine (here in NYC for example). As for posting lies about ratings, that's no good. I know we're not allowed to post ratings, but please don't lie about it... there are people who know the actual #s and will just attack you even more for it.
Maybe you should form your own anti-Jack site... ihatejack.com ...to parody NY's site... ilikejack.com. There, you can rant about Jack to your heart's content. Just don't post and clutter threads on here with lies. It's a waste of your time and ours.

Stepp did NOT get axed from his raydio gig by Jack. That can't be his reason for so much negative thoughts. I think his main
rage against the machine is more that it's a "gimmicky, flash-in-the pan-80's-style format that breaks the mold of narrowcasting
the format of about 60 songs form a half a decade." It's just to unfocused for his liking. Maybe he will give us the facts, and I
am not speaking for him here. I enjoy giving him %^* for his thoughts and he tends to take it pretty well. I am glad that the
mindset of one size fits all is not true. In honor of that:
Stepp---where are you? I know fall is here and maybe you're breaking down the hot fudge machine, but come back and play.
We all love you. I'll leave the super-size comment off for tonight.
