They have also made improvements to the audio quality of the station, in the last month or two.
Now if they would add some country and jazz in, that would be variety.
Quality-wise, Jack FM sounds better on air then they did last year. It comes a little close to 98.7 Jack FM in Victoria, but isn't on the same level. Victoria's Jack sounds awesome.
Musically, I like the rhythmic AC. Not something anything else in town is playing unless you count KXTJ-LP on the NW side (Classic hits? 96.9).
Like Digital Underground's "Humpty Dance" & Young MC's "Bust a Move" KTFM, or Samantha Fox's "Naughty Girls Need Love Too", & Jane Weidlen's "Rush Hour" KTFM?
I mean, KTFM did both types of Top 40, and fiddled around with some rock too. Personally, I despise KTXN's version of Jack & much prefer KTFM's version of variety hits, but to each their own.
I just heard "Not to worry Jack FM will return to playing what we want on Monday, but for now we're playing everything with leather jackets and lipstick."
