They are both the same format, but which one do you prefer (and why)? I ask only because I am in an area where I can hear both and find myself leaning more towards Bob. I find Bob more entertaining, but I do like some of the more obscure titles that Jack plays. Anyone care to add their 2-cents?

Jack i have Never Heard. But Bob isn't that good. The changed there playlist a lot to gain more listerns but there Ratings are Dropping sorry Bob Fm its over. I think Jack would be better for you. I don't see Bob Hanging around for to long... Every Ratings period Bob Keeps dropping.. I guess they miss there Glory day in Top 5 every Ratings Period.

Bob is ok but I like Jack batter, they play more "classic hits".

Both are a good listen. Jras20 you hit it on the head with "Jack-FM" having much more of a Classic Hits/Rock lean. KBPA tends to cover more of the musical spectrum; a couple of weeks ago I heard "Bob" segue from "Friends In Low Places" by Garth Brooks into "All My Love" by Led Zeppelin. Wow!

Best all over the road format was KOKE-FM in the 1970s.
They called it Progressive Country.
But I remember hearing a threesome that started with the Beach Boys followed by Dolly Parton and then Led Zepellin. And ya know... it was kinda cool in its own way.

i wish bob would play more classic songs and drop the new songs. i do remember koke-fm it was the best station for all over the road. they call themselves 95.5 koke-fm sterling country.

I agree I wish they would play more classic hits also.

Jack vs. Bob

If the Jack FM in San Antonio is anything like the one in B-CS, Jack is a winner with me. Bob plays too many Hot AC tracks too often. However Bobs 9 @ 9 surprises me once in a while. It's a draw for me...just the not-often-played classic hits.

Bob needs more classic hits. I will agree. I don't know if the sound on Bob has been changed, but three/four months ago, it sounded too squashed...like it had lots of compression or too much peak limiting.

Bob Fm has more variety too me Jack is nothing but a few songs from KTFM, KISS, 1 or 2 from KONO, and KZEP and the rest from KSMG. Jack needs to flip to True Oldies Channel and kick some KONO but ditto with KTSA cmon 3 news and/or talk stations oh make that 4 with 930 AM.

Highly unlikely that Jack would flip to oldies or another type of format. Jack is currently doing extremely well in the Pre-Currency PPM's. My guess is that another station(s) in the cluster would flip due to poor performance in the PPM's.

Jack has more Classic Rock and is fully automated. Bob has more 80s Alternative and some hours with live talent. Both have their good points.
