JACK FM Via ABC Radio Networks: How Does It Work?

Is said playlist structured mostly by SparkNet, but then is the playlist fine tuned locally by the PD at each JACK FM station? Does SparkNet define what each station's website will be or is putting the website up the responsibility of each individual station?

Does anyone have the ins and outs of the process a station must go through to run JACK's 24/7 satellite feed, as we have here in Savannah with our two-day-old station, 98.3 JACK FM? I know that two of the qualifications are 1) you must have a good signal and 2) only markets #40 and below can use the ABC Radio Networks feed.

Thanks in advance for any info ! :)
Edited by FilmCritic3000 on 10/09/05 07:50 AM.

I don't know that is has to be a great signal. South Central just flipped their oldies combo, WTXM/WRMX "Oldies 95.7 and 106.7" in Knoxville, TN earlier this week using the ABC feed, and these are both class A frequencies that don't have really great market coverage. They are decent, but not up to the big signals that most Jack formats have been put on. Maybe with the ABC feed they aren't being as picky about how good the signals are.
