Jack FM

I've heard various JACK FM stations across the country and I love the format. The variety is great and they don't repeat the same song in a day. This is a format that should come to town. I think it would do well.

I do too, but it seems more people are opposed then are for.

Funny how you brought this up on the 1 year anniversary of WBRU's 24 hour Jack format last year.Everyone loved it and hoped citadel would have put it on 99.7.

Jack means jockless and unless Citadel puts it on 99.7 I don't think they'll go jockless on any of their stations. Clear Channel wouldn't hesitate though. I don't even think it would happen there but in the long run if that format survives and Coast doesn't make any progress then that's where it'd fit. They've already saved loads of money at CC after all the firings so right now there's probably not a need to run without a staff on any of their stations. I have a feeling it's do or die for Coast as the voicetracked midday show and new morning show represent major changes that either have to work or it's curtains.

I think it's sad whenever local talent gets cut. But I have to be honest. I Love the way a jockless station sounds!
