JACK in JACKson?

ok... honestly... where is wally getting his info... one sales person quit... from Z105.3.... a sales person was let go from the main cluster... as was the business manager.... no engineer's have quit.... yes we lost a PD/Air talent... (but Thomas is not "hiring away everyone... Jared is the only one that went there) we also lost a mid day talent... and TNV's afternoon talent was actually our Great News guy that kept TJS from falling apart and helped on Eagle because we needed it after Gregg moved over to Rock92.3...

The sales person that quit went to Thomas Media. The WTNV PD is now at Thomas Media. So to sum up...people are either leaving or being fired, but 6 people gone in less than a month sends out a big distress signal.
 
Mr. West, I noticed on one of your earlier posts that you said that WTNV was going to change to Froggy 104 and have WOGY as it's new call letters. I checked the FCC call sign website and see that those call letters are already taken by some other radio group. What else did you get wrong? Why should we believe any of your so-called inside information?
 
Don't be so harsh on Mr. West. I know Forever and he has been right on with everything. As for WOGY, I'm sure you can chalk that up as poor planning by Forever.
 
Thank you "Joe". Here's some more scuttlebutt...Look for a new morning show on WTNV. They're getting ready for the transition to Froggy by bringing in someone within the next couple of weeks, then his partner will join him after the change to WOGY. I know this because I used to work with one of the guys.
 
Hey guys...I am not here to stir things up...but, I do like facts. WYNU has not been #1 in TSA but one time in the last several books. (SP 05). WIN 106-9 is the perennial winner in the TSA battle.....I dare say if I want to reach rural West TN....106.9 would be my tool of choice. They sound connected when I get to listen,and their listeners are passionate and respond to their events and promotions.....(did you see the idol deal this last week?)
 
I merely rebroadcast the information that was given to my by my former PD... yes who is now at Thomas Media... but honestly... did you expect people not to leave during a switch of companies... yes there is a new guy coming to the morning show (thank God) he'll start on Wednesday... I don't know much about him... but it will be nice to cut my duties down to three jobs rather than four... plus it will be nice to get a little sleep.... the business manager was never hired by forever... she was still a clear channel employee and her job ended when the sale closed... the sales person that was let go has nothing to do with anything other than her clients were complaining and she was trying to sell more makeup than radio ads. Wally if you spent that long with Forever you should know they won't put up with sub-par sales performance. the real question here is why does Mr. Wally care... are you even in this market... i noticed your first post was on the "mass Exodus" topic... did you join Radio-info merely to bash Forever of Jackson... if so.. you need to go check the "Altoona" section... you would have much more fun bashing in that section.and about a new PD... no body tells me anyway.. I know he is in charge of production... and the only person doing programming... so i kinda just do what Greg asks me to do.
 
Forever Broadcasting being sold? « on: June 01, 2006, 01:56:44 pm » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lots of rumors floating around that a sale of Forever Broadcasting is imminent. The names being mentioned are Cox Radio and Triad. I was curious to see what, if anything, anybody else is hearing. The above is from the Altoona/State College board. This could be a sign of things to come.

I've given him some crap in the past, but actually as I've listened recently since he's been at 92.3, he's doing a good job. He calls it the "Shut up and rock show" or something. If he'll do a tad more of that...it'll get better. I hope the classic rock doesn't go away completely.Also, Roger...you and I go back much further than you'd imagine.Does the name J. Michael Pruitt ring any kind of bells? He was my PD for several years back when 100,000 watt "Power 92" was consistantly getting trounced by a small 3000 watt station. (There's a little "Q-Tip" for you...) 8)Remember when the tower fell?

One is familar with the Forever group and the other is familar with WTNV and Jackson.

Isn't this thread about 92 flipping to Jack? Thanks meep! Back at cha bro! I'll do better when I have more time. I'm just trying to get it all done in 15 hour day right now so yeah, the show ain't what it needs to be or should be....or WILL be. By the way, anyone put their money where their mouth is on 92 flipping? I got cash or we can just do a steak dinner! Any takers?
 
Gregg, why don't you stop ruining the fun and get to work. Maybe if you didn't spend so much time on this site, you could get your work done and we wouldn't have to hear you whine! By the way, I'll take your bet on the flip.
