jack is cool, but WTF is up with the imaging?????

OK, a couple of things that make or break a radio station, 1 music selection, 2, air talent, 3 imaging/voiceover/sweepers/jingles, 4promotions/street presence..... so far JACK has good music, lousy imaging, NO air talent, and ok promotions, personally I would go without the DEEJAYS for right now, and keep the music the way it is, BUT, the imaging has got to get better, the guy sounds like he is freakin stoned....not that it is a bad thing, but this is LAS VEGAS the imaging has to be in your face/hardcore type. IMHO. good overall start though......compared to the HIP HOP crap that is all over the dial nowadays, and not 1 true CHR, yet.

Does Jack in LV have jingles just like on the other jacks in the country?

Yeah, Jack is using, what I believe is, the same jingle package most of them are using. The imaging is awful. I understand it's anti-radio. I get it. But c'mon you can't put a little effort into it? Yeah, the answering machine thing was fun at first...especially with the "message erased" on bad calls. Now, it's just tired.

Are they lazy over there? The imaging is lame and shoddy. In addition, would someone get off their ass and set the tones properly on the computer so that there is no dead air. Jesus, the station has been on for a couple of months now...shouldn't the kinks be worked out by now???

I live in Toronto and jack has live dj's in the morning and evenings...they even have a live to air retro show on sat nights...Jack uses the jingles in Toronto....in buffalo, they have one dj and that is howard "sirus" stern.

I am asking, because i will be coming to las vegas in nov...and what to with jack in lv.

I agree. It was fun listening to the negative calls. It was interesting to hear the wide range of reaction. Now when they play the answering machine, you know it's always going to be positive, so that feature has become too predictable.

In fairness to Jack, they probably don't get any more complaint calls. The listeners who were angry that Lite 100.5 flipped formats have accepted it by now and have moved on.
