Jack Las Vegas Sign-On

After an hour of Christmas music stunting, KMZQ (Lite 100.5) Las Vegas flipped to Jack-FM on Friday June 24 at 3pm. Here is the end of the last Christmas song from James Taylor, some roulette wheel stunting, then the sign on. The whole file is about 2.5 hours long. Enjoy!!

thanks for the aircheck. i wondered what it sounded like. some of the stuff was like the WCBS switch to jack (i.e. the omission of "jack" in "jack and diane" and "hit the road jack"), but the roulette wheel got annoying after a while.

Thank you very much for sharing this.

Have any of you noticed that NYC and Vegas Jacks don't use jingles? I know that my (Seattle) Jack stopped using them shortly after the NYC Jack signed on. Have they all stopped using them now? I'm kinda bummed out about ours not using jingles anymore.

Actually, your Seattle Jack has had jingles on the air from the very first hour it was around. Never been without.

I know that but...and yes I finally heard one jingle today after 45 minutes of listening, so yes you are right, but it sure seems like they cut way down on them compared to the first month or so of KJAQ.

Might well be true since the depth of the imaging has increased exponentially. Typically, you will hear 2-3 jingles per hour on Jack Seattle.

11am today, 2.
