Jack McNamee Passing

Saddened to hear of the passing of former WNDR "Good Guy", Jack McNamee recently.

He was a staple in mid-days on 1260/WNDR beginning in 1966 and a truly talented jock known at "Happy Jack". Rest in peace, Jack.
 
I believe Jack originally coined the phrase "Surfer bums & beach bunnies" which I have helped myself to, several times over the years. He worked in the first years of top 40 radio -a pioneer. The generation before me. We learned everything from them. They are passing now and are missed by those who came along after them.
