Sorry... ??? Just thought some of you might like to hear the flip. Personally, I enjoy hearing flips. I think it was well produced.

NP..Flips are interesting. Its the following weeks that are interesting to see if they can improve.

I agree, what does WCBS in New York has to do with us??

With CBS owning the Jack FM in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, some might speculate that CBS might be abandoning Jack FM (though not on the HD side, where Jack FM NY is now at). Some are speculating the same thing on the Chicago board too. I haven't seen what the ratings are for Dallas, but Chicago's ratings haven't been all that great either (based on the 12+), but supposedly are up in the 25-54 category.
As for Indianapolis, they had much higher ratings with their Jack FM when owned by Susquehana (might not have spelled it correctly), but when they sold their company to Cumulus, they dumped Jack immediately, despite the much higher ratings than the oldies format that was on that station.

Chicago can't do the same thing that New York or San Francisco did because WZZN 94.7 became the oldies station in Chicago. What CBS in NY is doing is trying to heal some of the wounds which were caused when 101.1 switched from Oldies to Jack which cause backlash throughout NY. Same case in SF with KFRC and Movin'. I think that Jack will stay around a little longer in both Dallas and Chicago.

The difference in Chicago is that True Oldies 94.7 is totally different than what WCBS is doing in NYC. Yes, it is technically "Oldies" on WCBS, but they are playing music mostly from the 70's, with some 60's and 80's mixed in. 94.7/Chicago is playing mostly 60's, with some 50's and 70's mixed in, so it's technically two different demographics, so WJMK could flip to a format similar to WCBS and possibly do better than they are doing right now.

Totally different in DFW, where CBS already owns the "Oldies/Classic Hits (whatever they're calling it at the moment)" station. CBS, as we all know, has multiple underperforming formats in the market. Jack is just the one that stands out the most. I've never understood why this frequency has had so many problems trying to find an audience. It hasn't been successful since 100.3 JAMZ.
