JACK on Sirius?

I know this has been mentioned here before, but with all the popularity on the FM dial with the JACK-FM format, why doesn't Sirius (or XM for that matter) create a JACK channel? So many people are liking this format and it seems to be pumping at least some life back into FM radio. Doesn't satellite radio find this format to be even a small threat to them?

When I First Brought This Idea Up Months Ago, That Sirius Should Have

A "Jack Type" Channel, People Jumped All Over Me.

I Guess They Just Couldn't Understand The Concept Of Different Types

Of Hits Being Offered On One Channel. They Went On About Sirius Offering

A Mix Of Music On Different Channels. When I Tried To Explain It To Them

They Actually Got Nasty! ... Well Time Has Passed ... There Are Dozens

Of "Variety Hits" Stations Doing Very Well Across The Country Now.

I Still Think Sirius Needs to Have A Station Like This.

It may work...I think they still have plenty of bandwidth to play with. Whats the harm in trying
 
They should do it and call it the "Sirius Shuffle".

First song should be "The Curly Shuffle".

Closest thing on XM is The Blend, which is a wide open list of top hits from 60's to currents. The only thing it doesn't have is in-your-face imaging... and it's more AC than classic hits.

Sirius could create a Variety Hits channel by taking the Classic Rewind channel and adding in a few recurrents.

But the beauty of both services is if you want variety, you just have to change the channel every now and then.<P ID="signature">______________

Actually, Sirius has recently tweaked the Spectrum to sound more like a Variety Hits station (although I don't know if that was the intent). It's been playing more mainstream classic hits from the last few decades and narrowing the currents.

hey i have that 45!! :) didnt wls 89 put that out...i would listen to jack xm. or the sirius shuffle. but i dont think jack would allow sat radio to do it with his imaging. and his brand name. as it may hurt the stations paying him his consulting fees every month..xm could kill the blend. and put it on 25. or combine the loft and xm cafe since they are close to the same format anyway and create a new channel.<P ID="signature">______________
