Jack Palvino Surgery

Jack Palvino, longtime friend, Rochester morning man and a partner in The Lincoln Group (WVOR & WHAM), underwent quadruple bypass surgery on December 23rd. Reports are that he came through surgery fine and he's resting comfortably.

Jack, best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Glad to hear Jack is on the mend. Never had the pleasure of working with him, but every longtime listener to Rochester radio knows what he's meant to the community and how much he's entertained us over the years. All of us who are in the biz now, owe him a lot for having shown us how it should be done.

He should be among the next group of inductees for the NY State Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

Hope he'll have a happy and healthy life for many years to come.

Thanks to Sherlock for passing along often "lost in the grapevine" info. Glad to hear things went well. After years of working for/with him, there would be no question that his ticker wouldn't stop him. The irony in running the "Heart of Gold" for so many years, that it needed a polishing. ;D. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Best wishes and Happy New Year, "Smilin' Jack." It's no walk-in-the-park but quad-bypass surgery is pretty routine these days with excellent prognoses in most cases, which we all of course wish. I'm sure Jack will soon be back to "swingin' in a winter wonderland," as the 1960s PAMS jingle went....
