Jack Perry Gets A lot Of Gigs

Ohhhh!
Now I realize the voice of Mo on those einsurance commericals.
Never put the two together.

The talent that works with her, Jack Perry, I hear his voice a lot on radio.
KCBS and a ton of radio commericals.

How does he get so many gigs on Bay Area radio?
Is it his voice or does he work harder to get them?

Not being in the biz, it would seem to me, radio talent would get a first shot at the VO work on radio commercials but maybe not.
But it seems JP has a monopoly on them.
Not too mention the einsurance commercials.

I will listen more attentively to catch Mo's voice on those commericals.
I guess she is the super heroine in those commercials that is always running around saving people in those commericals.
That's a positive to add on your VO resume.
"I am the voice of so and so"

Good for the both of them.
Did JP do any work on radio?

One more missing Bay Area dj... Audio Vidya from Live 105 circa 1990's.
Anyone know what became of her?

I hear Jack on all 7 of the SF CBS Radio stations from time to time. His main job is as the production director
at Alice, at least it was the last time we ran into each other. He was at KSJO for a number of years before that as the Production Guy, then came to KRQR 1992 (?) which then morfed into Alice. In the wonderful world of corporate radio, you can work for 7 stations at once and never leave the building. He and Mo did the original Esurance spots when the company first started, I think they were/are SF Based, and survived the dot com bomb...as the company grew they kept using them on the spots. Good for them. Alice and KCBS are AFTRA stations, so I'm sure he must be compensated as a freelancer when his spots are played on the other CBS stations Union and Non Union alike.

Many of the production people in SF freelance, when a client likes your work, and they ask you to run it on other stations in the market and out, it's a good thing for the performer and the station he/she works for.
It's very complimentry of the originating stations Prod. Dept and personel, and a nice source of additional income for the voice.
