JACK radio

Reading comments on the board it seems people either love or hate the idea. My feeling is JACK is a reaction or backlash against cookie cutter radio. I'm one that likes variety when I listen to the radio so JACK may be good for me. I'll listen to almost anything from the 70's to the present. Some people only like one form of music and obviously JACK is not for them. I'm just sick of listening to so many stations and being able to guess what song will be played next. CHR radio is the worst nowadays. It seems they not only play the same songs over and over but even in the same order. I think JACK done right can be moderately successful in the area. It is not enough to be just an IPOD set on random. You need good talent, live hosts and innovative programming to go along with it. I say get rid of the playlists and the voicetracking.

The Mountain is the closest we have in the area to a station like JACK and they stick primarily to the classic/progressive rock realm.
