Sad to report that Jack Remington, longtime air personality and station executive with Taft Broadcasting, passed away August 4, 2020, at age 94. Jack came to Cincinnati's WKRC radio in the 1950s, calling himself "the Poor Man's Nobody," and hosted a variety of programs with a friendly, congenial personality. He added a personal approach to sponsorships, causing traffic jams when he encouraged listeners to head to a restaurant (Sugar 'N' Spice), with his description of various menu items.
In the 1960s, he took command as GM of WKRC, and then headed to Lexington, KY, as GM of Taft's WKYT Television, and thereafter in various post in Taft's management team.
After retirement, Jack and his wife, Jan, built a log home in Switzerland County, Indiana, where Jack developed excellent skills as a woodworker and contractor on their farmlet.
Jack leaves his wife, Jan, a daughter and a grandson.
