Jack Reno

Kypost.com has an obituary listed for Jack Reno, the former WUBE and WLW dj and country music singer. Services are scheduled for Thursday at Hopeful Lutheran Church in Florence. Jack was one of the original djs at WUBE when the AM station went form Top 40 to country on April 1, 1969. Jack preceded Jim McKnight as the overnight DJ from 1976 to 1978 on 700 WLW

Yes, now that you mention it, I do remember Jack on WFKB around 1984, 1985. He was also on WSAI in the early 80s. And I seem to remember him being on WCLU for just a very short time prior to taking over the all night show on WLW

I believe when WFKB first signed on in 1984, they were not country and they later switched to country with Jack Reno doing mornings.
