Jack running aux again

103.7 is running their aux again today. While driving through Beaumont this morning, they were fine...but driving back this afternoon, their signal was in the noise...so its AUX time again. I wonder if maybe they are testing their HD on the Aux site....audio sounds good when I could hear it on overpasses, etc. (Not bad for the power/height).

So this is why we can't pick up Jack in Beaumont this afternoon. CW, at least you didn't use the following title:

Subject: Jack Off

;)

I have good reception of Jack in my 18th floor office downtown. Seemed no different than usual downtown. It's the Missouri City stations I have a hard time getting a clear signal on.

Yesterday morrning I was out at my place in Lavaca county, I picked up Jack on my all directional indoor antenna clear. I know it was a skip because in normal conditions, I couldnt get them.

Yeah, I was receiving Jack very clearly too yesterday. All over the place

I was also able to pick up the following stations in HD: KBPA and KHFI out of Austin. Out of San Antonio, I was able to pick up KPWT and KXTN,
But what was even freakear about HD radio. I was picking up KTRX out of rockdale and out of nowhere, I see my screen show KBBT-FM. Now it only went into HD for like half a second because I was driving. I heard a little from KBBT, but it rapidly went back to KTRX. Now isn't that something. I'm hearing the analog channel from KTRX and the HD channel from KBBT.

were you able to pick up KBBT's HD signal? my homeplace is about 60 miles from San antonio I can get both San antonio and Austin HD stations with my outdoor antenna, I use to could be able to get KBBT's HD signal good, but now it seems very weak. I also get those kind of skips also, sometimes I will pick up KROM as clear as it can get, and then KKBQ's HD signal will kick in I had a audio recording of that, but I think I deleted it. if I get that again I'll try to make a recording of it.

Yes, I can actually pick up San Antonio Stations over here in College Station during most mornings. I do it through the JVC KD-HDR1. When I pick up the HD, it is mostly tropo openings. But I can get KPWT even without tropo openings. That station comes in rain or sshine. KLDE gets extremely mixed with KXTN while driving around. I can

I can pick up KKMJ, KHFI, KBPA, KROX, KASE, KHHL, KINV, and KLQB.

For some reason, I can't pick up Mix 94.7, It is always eaten up by Sunny 94.7 from Lufkin.

The signal from the 103.7 and 97.5 AUX site in Baytown is not allowed to improve the 1mV or 60dbu contour beyond what the main 2000ft sites have...so listening downtown, it would have the same signal level as the Devers/Winnie towers
but for those near the main site, it sure kills the signal!

93.3 is the oddball...they have the main at Devers, licensed to Port Arthur but have an aux site on the 980 towers in N Houston....doesnt extend beyond the main's 1mV but noone in their COL of Port Arthur can hear the AUX!!---legally it could run for 30 days without notification to the FCC (I think its 30...I havent read that section of Part73 in a while)

Liberman has no aux sites for 98.5 or 107.9.....I dont know about Salem's 100.7
