Jack Stahl

I listened to Jack as a little kid. I competed against him as a weekend guy on 700WLW in the 80s. I spent 2 years trying to hire him at WGRR in the 90s.

Jack was a true Cincinnati original. He loved his city and proved it by his public service. He loved radio and proved it by 50 years of rocking it.

There will never be another.

I learned from him. I mentored him. I consumed many "Vitamin M" with him.

We had a deal that he was going to get better so we could watch opening day together. I'll settle that with him in "what's next".

Rock Hard, Dr Boogie.. Rock Hard!

Sad. I remember listening to Jack on WSAI as a kid. And then as an adult on various stations. Always enjoyed his energy and enthusiasm.

boogie.gif I started listening to Jack on WGRR in the late 90s, and also loved hearing him on WDJO. I loved his "Dr. Boogie" moniker and he always sounded like he was having fun - which added a level of enjoyment for me as a listener.

Rock and Roll Heaven is having a non-stop party with Jack spinning the tunes. He will be missed.
